What cookies does CANDDi store?

Summary:

This document contains information about all the cookies used by CANDDi

 

CANDDi Cookies:

In normal working usage CANDDi places two first-party cookies on a visitor's machine

Name Purpose Duration
_CAN_BId This is the User Identification cookie.  This holds a unique (32-character) reference which identifies this visitor each time that they return to your site  This cookie is held for a 10-year duration.  In reality users upgrade their browsers (which clears their cookies) within this time.
CAN_FCld  This is the User Identification cookie.  This holds a unique (32-character) reference which identifies this visitor each time that they return to your site   This cookie is held for a 10-year duration.  In reality users upgrade their browsers (which clears their cookies) within this time.
CAN_SId This is the Session Identification cookie.  This holds a unique (32-character) reference which allows CANDDi to relate all the current tracking to a single Session This cookie is held for 30-minutes
 CAN_qs_tabmin This records the current state of the CANDDi Capture pop-up window   This cookie is held for the duration of the user's session 

CANDDi cal also place some CAN_Store_xxx cookies.  These are temporary cookies which CANDDi uses to ensure that the data which has been captured is recorded and transmitted to the CANDDi servers.  These cookies are deleted after a positive response is received from the CANDDi tracking servers

 

Google Analytics Cookies:

CANDDi opt-out:

If you implement cookie-opt-in technology then you can configure this to call CANDDi's API to record a visitor's preferences

If a customer explicitly opts out of being tracked then call the following javascript and CANDDi will stop tracking any data about this visitor
